Welcome to Kids In Pain !!!!!

This site was set up to help provide support and information for children, teens and young adults suffering from chronic pain conditions.

The site was founded by 14 year old, Alison Day who suffers from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Athritis, Fibromyalgia and Hypermobility Syndrome in the hope that sharing her experiences with others would provide the support needed to deal with the challenges faced on a daily basis. Read more about Alison on the "About Us" page.

Kids In Pain is monitered by Alison's mum, Andrea, who is a Local Authority Database Manager and has a wide range of experience in protecting the information shared between young people in forums and websites such as this.

What are our goals?

  • To raise awareness of ALL Chronic Pain Conditons

  • To share experiences and provide support

  • To discuss treatment options and current research

  • To become a Non-Profit Organisation / Charity. Becoming non-profit or getting charity status will enable us to offer even more support to young people and their families suffering from a Chronic Pain Condition and allow us to donate money to other charities and sell our own merchandise that may help others

  • To start Support Groups within the UK where Young People and their Families can go and meet fellow Chronic Pain Sufferers to get support and vital information to help them deal with their illness

We have our own forum which we hope you will find useful and informative. The forum has seperate areas for young people and carers which are private and joint areas where we can all come together to chat.

When you register to the forum, we ask that you please tell us whether you are the patient or their carer in order that you are given access to the correct areas of the forum.

Please note that your account will need to be approved by the forum Administrators before you are able to post. This is to try and stop any spammers from getting onto the forum and keep track of how many members we have. The Administrators will try and approve your account as soon as possible and your account should be available to use within 24 hours at most. You will recieve an email as soon as your account has been approved so you know when you are able to post!
